About Professor Mitsuru Senda, the Designer

He is the director of the Environmental Design Institute. He has also served as president of the Japan Institute of Architects and professor emeritus at Tokyo Institute of Technology, among other roles. He has received many prestigious awards, including the Japan Institute of Architects Award and the Architectural Institute of Japan Prize. In Hiroshima, he designed Mazda Zoom-Zoom Stadium Hiroshima and Edion Peace Wing Hiroshima. Guided by the belief that architecture should nurture the next generation, he has worked to create buildings that are beautiful, safe, comfortable, and environmentally valuable.

About the Mukaiyō Station Front Campus

This learning center is just a one-minute walk from Mukaiyō Station. The first floor is a café, the second floor is a free space, the third floor has three private rooms, the fourth floor has a large classroom, and the fifth floor is a studio.

About the Yasura Campus

It is a 20-minute walk from JR Ato Station. Surrounded by nature, it offers a relaxed and open environment. Shuttle bus service is also available from Mukaiyō Station. Professor Mitsuru Senda supervised the design during the renovation of this former school building into the Yasura Campus.
